Residents Survey 2021

Dear Resident,
Did you know that Hughenden Parish Council (HPC) is the first tier of local government? HPC operates from its Offices in Great Kingshill with three Officers and up to 15 Councillors. The Parish Council is funded via the Parish Precept, which is collected by Buckinghamshire Council in your Council Tax and then paid to HPC.

HPC owns and manages various assets around the parish, ranging from bus shelters, the Garden of Rest to playing grounds and meadows. The Parish Council works with local agencies, Buckinghamshire Council and private land owners to maintain and develop these assets to the benefit of all residents.

The newly elected Parish Council are looking to review its direction and strategy for the next 4-year council term. To do this effectively it is important to understand what you; as a resident; would like to see happen. This survey is a critical step in this process, and we ask that you take about 10 minutes to complete it either on line or by requesting a paper copy, details on how to do so are below.  The closing date for the survey has been extended to the  24th September 2021.

Results from the survey will be published later in the year through various channels – which ones? Well, that’s a question in the survey so let us know which you prefer. The Parish Council’s responsibilities are outlined below and by working with Buckinghamshire Council there is the potential to take on additional services.

The results of the survey will provide an indication of which services these could be. The Council has not lost sight of big issues such as the climate emergency, protecting the AONB, etc., they will form part of a longer-term action plan. We look forward to receiving your responses as individual residents so that we can understand the views of all residents.

Best wishes,

Cllr Paul Nicholls
Chairman, Hughenden Parish Council
