Council Quorate 8 March 2022
Hughenden Parish Council became quorate again on 8 March 2022 following the co-option of six new councillors resulting in a total of eight councillors and seven vacancies. To enable this co-option to take place Buckinghamshire Council made a Section 91 Order under the 1972 Local Government Act temporarily appointing Buckinghamshire Councillors Cllr David Carroll, Cllr Steve Broadbent and Cllr Clive Harriss to the council to enable the co-options to take place. As soon as the co-options were resolved, the appointments of the county councillors to the parish council ceased. Hughenden Parish Council is now able to hold meetings and make decisions.

Meeting 8th March 2022 – Role of Buckinghamshire Councillors
Buckinghamshire Councillors: the three appointed councillors will only take part in the business of the meeting up to and including the appointment of the co-optees. Once appointed so as ensure that HPC becomes quorate, the Buckinghamshire Councillors will then effectively resign from their roles, leave the meeting and cease to be Hughenden Parish Councillors; and the newly constituted membership can then take forward the rest of the business.
